A quick note. I just started working with the trainers. I feel great and am happy... This is just the beginning.

My puppy raisers and I said our farewells. We have had a blast these 20 months. I know my job is to stay here and become a guide and make myself and my puppy raisers proud. You just don't realize as a pup that you can fall in love with humans. I am going to miss them and all the things we did and places we have gone. I am going to miss the grooming, watching TV, playing fetch and most of all the love that we shared.....but we will always be in each others hearts.
The next two weeks I will spend doing medical check ups and testing. If I am not sound physically I can not continue with Guide Dog training. Wish me luck everybody!

The space is a little bigger out here. My kennel mate moved to the next kennel she has a slight nipping problem and they did not want me to have to deal with that. Maybe my puppy raiser should come back in and show me how to use that swinging door again.
Whoops, doubt is beginning to come to my mind. Are we sure about this? Maybe we should just go back home..... come on ....lets go Posted by Picasa

I met another of my litter mates, his name is Hemi. Hewey is standing behind Brock. Hemi is more like me than Hewey.
It was a long walk down this hall for my puppy raiser, but I was looking forward to seeing my new home. I am in kennel # 5.
Well, it is a little cramped and where is my soft lambs wool bed? Thank goodness my puppy raiser gave me a new natural bone, gosh there is no pumpkin in it. Posted by Picasa

I feel so good and strong. I can make it as a guide if I focus on the task at hand.
Who knew I would be seeing Jaxy, my gal pal today. We are going to have fun at play time Posted by Picasa

May 13, "Turn In Day" @ GDA First a little run to get off that excess energy.
Hey Mom, are you noticing? I am looking at you....
Need a good drink after all the exercise. Posted by Picasa

I visited Sandra's studio today just to see all the art for the last time. She was working on her new painting entitled "Hope". All of us need hope in our lives. Some hope for peace, forgiveness, love, success, health or that time would just stop in its tracks and keep things the way they are. No matter how much I would hope to stay with my puppy raisers I will move on and become the dog I was raised to be, a Guide Dog for the Blind......
Last words and blessings from Sandra, to send me on my way..... Posted by Picasa

Here I am with Cameron who lives up north. Cameron and I are looking for Easter eggs. I keep trying to lick his face but he always tries to push me away.... I am going to miss my trips up north to visit and play with him and his parents.

Saying goodbye to Natasha and James, my human siblings. They have been the most fun to be around.... and they have protected and looked out for me since I was a pup...
Natasha was always there for me... I just knew she would always be there when I needed her .....
James the boy who played and ran around with me. He showed me off to his friends and I made him proud. When James said sit, stand or down I did, even when his friends tested me I obeyed because James counted on me.... Posted by Picasa

Yesterday I saw all my friends in my group for the last time, actually I will be seeing my brother again because he is going "into training" with me. We did an obstacle course last night, I think I did pretty. I could do my commands a bit faster but I had fun walking past all the obstacles.

Can you imagine walking past six hot dogs just hanging there for your taking. Well ... I can walk right past them with just a little encouragement.

Never saw a tunnel before but I did not want to explore its insides...so we just walked around it a few times....

Wow, a box of sand to walk through, I usually go crazy at the beach when I walk in sand but last night there was just not enough for me to get wild about.

Last bath time as a puppy in training. I have the hang of it now, sometimes I go into the shower with my puppy raiser or sometimes I jump into the tub. Baths are pleasant, I smell so good when I am dry.
Shaking off is the most fun in the whole process. I love to hear my puppy raiser shriek from the wet spray..... Posted by Picasa

Natasha, James and my puppy raisers took me to Dana Point Harbor. This will be the last walk with all of them together and me as a puppy in training. We had so much fun.

We played the name game in a safe, secure place at the harbor. I am so good at this game now.

We just like walking together and when I stop to do training, they watch me.

James can be the best distraction. I always want to play with him. Posted by Picasa
